Michael Hellwig
Michael Hellwig, age 29, was born in Ontario,
Canada, he is the baritone vocalist for The Stamps Quartet He was
raised in a very musical family and began singing at the age of 19.
Michael is the former tenor singer for the
Wilburn’s, one of the finest family singing groups in Gospel music.
In 1997, Michael was honored by the Canadian
Gospel Music Association as “Tenor Singer Of The Year.”
Ed Enoch states, “I’m very honored to have
Michael Helwig as the newest member of the Stamps Quartet. He’s one of
the best Baritone singers and one of the finest, young – Christian men I
have ever known. When Michael sings, "I’d Rather Have Jesus", it’s sung
with so much feeling and emotion – it’s a tremendous blessing and the
audience loves and appreciates his “exceptional and powerful voice”. I
am proud to have Michael as a part of the Stamps Quartet.
Michael and his wife, reside in Gallatin,
Tennessee, with twin daughters age 6, and a son age 4.
